April 5, 2008 Picnic at LaFortune Park
Kang's 2008 was at LaFortune Park this year, and we had some yummy and
delicious food to enjoy from our students! All kinds of things from simple
hot dogs, to elaborate German potato salad, and pizza to Korean Kimchi, we had
it all!
I think, of course, the winner of the dishes, was the Parmar's Thai-style
grilled chicken. It was so scrumptious, it just melted in your mouth.
Vanh also brought some good ol' fashioned BBQ chicken and that wasn't too bad
either. Another thing worth mentioning was Martha's corn spoon bread which
was a nice treat to enjoy.
Soccer and especially volleyball was a lot of fun, and the last event
of the day, was the apple-bobbing contest. We had an enormous time
standing around watching the kids dunk their face in a huge bowl full of ice
water. Naturally, Master Kang gave out T-Shirts and medals to all who
braved the head-chilling feat.
