rotating curriculum system cont'd

the new material in blocks.  The beginner stages will consist of orange, yellow, green stripe, and green belts.  The intermediate stages will consist of blue stripe, blue belt, red stripe, and red belt.  The advanced stages is black stripe and above.  Children ages 7 and under can have the option to attend the 'LIL DRAGON'S class as well.  This class will work on hand-eye coordination, memory, manners, discipline, respect and other primary skills a youngster should have.

The white belt level is in a level of it's own.  The intro and white belt students who are in the primary stage of learning will be taught in a totally separate environment that will teach only the most basic elements of 'how to learn' in our school.  An old saying in the martial arts is, "When the student is ready, the teacher appears" is so true.  If someone is not willing, or doesn't know how to learn, it can never really occur.

If you are learning repetitive material, don't worry, you will be able to learn new material in time.  Our system is meant to bring a more detailed approach to not only beginners, but all of the levels.  We will also be including weapons, specialized breaking techniques, and street-smart defense scenarios that will only be offered to the higher level programs.  Before, we only offered two programs.  One year and three year.  Now, we offer five different programs available only to the ones who qualify under the three A's.  (Attitude, Attendance, and Ability)

The learning process, traditionally, was meant to be 'picked up' on just by watching.  The students could imitate what was being done in class, and eventually come to a level of proficiency that was parallel to the rest of the class.

Graduation will also take place every eight weeks.  The system is designed to help keep the students motivated through the low times.  The intermediate rank system will be what is called curriculum stripes that will be awarded to the students upon showing proficiency in class.  When the student learns the material, he/she will be awarded a curriculum stripe on the belt.  Upon receiving four stripes, and attending a minimum of 16 classes, he/she will eligible to graduate onto the next rank.  The Testing/Graduation ceremony will not be a long, drawn out event for the color belts.  The ceremony will be offered for each level, and will give them a chance to really 'shine' in front of their peers and loved ones.
