Unpaid Fee Policy:

In the unfortunate event that fees not current, the student will not be allowed to graduate and promote to the next rank.  Furthermore, if a student is more than 90 days late on any payment, rank status may be lost and certification revoked.  Also instructor status may be revoked.  Your eligibility will also be revoked from any of the Instructor Training and Special Training Programs.   There is a $25 make up fee and a $20 late fee for promotions.

Stripe #1

1st and 2nd week

For the first stripe, students will learn their Student Creed and some type of basic.  For all other ranks, it will be the word of the belt memorization, and some type of basic requirement.

Stripe #2

3rd and 4th week

For the second stripe, combinations will be learned and practiced in class.  These combinations are easy, so they are learned quickly.  Repetitive practice is disguised with paddle drills, and other drills.

Stripe #3

5th and 6th week

For the third stripe, the second set of combinations and/or the first half of the current rank’s form is to be learned in class, and gone over until everyone has it down.

Stripe #4

7th and 8th week

For the fourth stripe, the second half of the form and other random requirements are learned in class.  Terminology is to be practiced in class at a minimum, but enforced by the instructor to be learned at home.

Every two months = 8 weeks = 16 classes

On graduation day:

 -  Instructors will demonstrate their commanding ability and personal knowledge of student ability.

 -          Students will demonstrate their form and breaking requirement if any.

-          Students will also be required to bring a minimum of 2 witnesses

-          During that time, recognition for medals, character stripes, and so on will be handed out for achievements that go ‘above and beyond’.

Attitude stripes will be given out in the form of ‘Red Stripes’.  We will give out stripes as a mandatory requirement for graduation.  A minimum or 3 is needed to graduate.  The student who get 15 or more will be eligible to attend the character stripe party.  Those who receive 20 or more can bring a friend.

Honor Roll Stars will be given out to be worn on the collar when report cards are turned in.  Only Straight A’s will be rewarded.

Black Belt Testing

As you already know, every six months, Black Belt testing is held at the Headquarters Dojang and is done ‘confirmation style’ or accumulatively.

Star Testing:  The confirmation style testing will now be called ‘STAR TESTING’.  All STAR TESTERS will be given a star to be worn on their left sleeve (max 4) and then accumulated on their right sleeve (max 4).

Kyo Sa and Sa Bom Certification:  After E Dan, Kyo Sa (Certified Instructor) Certification is available.  After Sa Dan, Sa Bom (Certified Master Instructor) Certification is available.  It is important to achieve set guidelines for these titles.

Traditionally, our colored belt and Black Belt testing had been blended together.  This is something that is going to be separated just to emphasize the importance of the Black Belt Event! 4-6 Black Belt Prep Cycle Classes held on Saturdays for 2 hours.
